Why I Enjoy My DVR

My Dove Chocolate told me to be the first on the dance floor.  Again.  Tonight is the semi-finals for Dancing With The Starts.  Coincidence? I think not.  In fact, I'm thinking next year might just be my season.  I'm still waiting on that call...

The only real problem (besides that I can't dance a lick) is that I'm not really the star of anything.  It doesn't seem to necessarily be required that the competitors are actually stars, so who knows???

I really don't even know who I'm pulling for to win the whole shebang.  I like them all! Last week, Brian watched a little bit with me (against his better judgment).  He actually acted surprised when I correctly predicted who would be voted off.  To which I replied, "This ain't my first rodeo".

Moving on...The Voice ended.  I liked the guy that won, but I don't think he was my favorite.  Again, I didn't have a huge preference, so to that I say, "Whatever".  I think I actually slept through most of the finale if that's any indication of my commitment level.

I gave up on American Idol several seasons ago.  Come on now...you and I both know that there will never be another David Cook! It just seemed like nobody, and I mean nobody, that followed that season could live up.  So I broke up with American Idol.  It wasn't easy, but I did it.  NOW I'm second guessing my decision because I'm hearing a lot of talk about this season.  So much so that I even looked up a few of the performances on You Tube.  I still haven't made any long term decisions, but I'm considering watching the rest of this season.  We shall see.

Now for the big news! The new season of The Bachelorette starts tonight! I normally could care less.  I broke up with The Bachelor and The Bachelorette a long time ago.  But this is Emily for cryin' out loud.  I love Emily!

Thank goodness for my DVR.  I rarely get to watch anything when it's actually on.  It's also a good thing school is almost out so I can keep up with all of these television commitments.

*I have some other thoughts about The Office, Mad About You, and House Hunters.  I'm sure you just can't wait for me to ramble on about those shows too.  I promise I will!

*On a totally unrelated note, I ate asparagus tonight.  For the second time in two weeks.  Granted, I didn't eat much.  And I didn't like it.  But I'm trying.  (I used to think it tasted like deodorant.  No, I haven't ever eaten deodorant.)

Sit, Ubu, Sit! Good dog! (Anybody remember that?!)

  1. It has a been a good season. You should finish out the season and give it another try.

I think you are mistaken though about who was the best singer on "that" season-- it was David Archuleta!!
